NCC’s quest to reduce paper usage

NCC recently invested a significant amount of money to ensure that it has state of the art business management software to support efficiency and cost reduction. While we have seen the reduction in costs as well as experienced more efficient processes as a result of these systems, the impact on paper use is something that has not been highlighted.

NCC recently invested a significant amount of money to ensure that it has state of the art business management software to support efficiency and cost reduction. While we have seen the reduction in costs as well as experienced more efficient processes as a result of these systems, the impact on paper use is something that has not been highlighted.

Microsoft Navision (NAV) and CRM

These software solutions have had significant impact on paper usage. NAV’s built in procurements process has reduced the need for printed Purchase Orders as well as the printing of supporting documents. Approvals are done on line while supporting documents can be effortlessly attached. The ability to store this data in the “NCC Cloud” means that one does not need to go through files to find printed copies and then having to make a copy for yourself but rather search for documents on-line and download these to your PC.

Another paper saver is the completion and approval of on line time sheets. The on-line approval process reduces the need to print these documents and having them approved.

HR Manage (Khula)

With the introduction of the new software to manage leave and Khula, printed leave forms will be a thing of the past. Copies of supporting documents will also not be re required as this can also be uploaded. Over the following weeks further forms like on-line travels claims and slip refunds will also be introduced which will further reduce the need for any printed documents.

As you can see the systems introduced does not only make our daily lives a little easier and our processes more efficient but will also help us to achieve REAL GROWTH for our PLANET.
